DIY "Secret Message Cones"
Fabulous addition to birthday parties, bridal showers, baby showers and more...

Inspired by fortune cookies, these nondrippy cones let you send a secret message to your special someone. You'll need purchased sugar cones, meringue cookies and chocolate chips for the treat, and pretty paper and nonpareils for the secret message.

Tiny Tricks to Big Party Success

Involve your child in as much of the party planning and preparation as possible.
Keep the party 1 1/2 to 2 hours long, and indicate on the invitation at what time the party will be over.
Avoid activities that require kids to wait a long time for their turn!
Avoid games with winners and losers.
Plan more activities than you need in case some are duds or simply go too quickly.
Serve nutritious food/snacks.  Save the sweets for the last fifteen minutes of the party. Keep your guests hydrated during party games.
Always have back up plans, like a rainy day alternative location and activities if you're having a party in the outdoors.
Plan a safe, comfortable place for your party. Childproof the area by putting breakables and valuables away.
If you have pets, place them in a comfortable area away from the party. Be aware of children who may be allergic to dogs and/or cats.
Before the party, give your child a quick briefing on all things mannerly.
